As a Diverse leader in Design for 20 years, Ms. Hensley has an established legacy of quality Interior or Exterior Design, and a commitment to creative design solutions that have excellent project management, well-coordinated construction and procurement documents, as well as adherence to project schedules and budgets.  Ms. Hensley is NCIDQ Certified, and Registered as a Certified Interior Designer (CID) in the State of VA and a LEED AP-ID & C Professional.

FIRM BACKGROUND

Established in 2017, after several years of specialized contracting for architectural clients:  L.Hensley Design, LLC. is a comprehensive Interior Architectural Design practice, providing professional services ranging from: space analysis and programming (design research, materials transparency, design charettes), to interior /exterior 

design, signage, artwork, comprehensive selection & specification of finishes or materials; furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) scopes of work, lighting, millwork and beyond!  Ms. Hensley has worked on a wide range of private and public sector projects from initial design conception through to completion.  Dedicated to creating quality Interiors + Architectural design, Leanne enjoys the problem solving and creative thinking process that comes with each project, no matter the scope of work, or market segment. From walking on samples with Clients in charettes, to meeting with building partners about sustainably detailed construction plans ~ Leanne. enjoys working with clients to meet their vision and it's needs ~ no matter their location.

From overall spatial concepts using architecture, to finishes, textures & color specifics ~ to the juxtaposition of symmetry within biophilic design; shapes of furniture or artwork selection - and their successful procurement & installation ~ Interior Architectural Design is a vital component of any building.  The Designer's knowledge and expression of how these scopes affect new, or existing architectural components and structural elements, is key to an Interiors success.  In these spaces: people take rest, find sustenance, and experience important moments.

L.Hensley Design LLC. understands that architecture and design is an experience.  This experience can be enhanced by the surroundings in which they occur.  Combining the expertise, skill and creativity of many allied design consultants and contractors, the Designer has a legacy of delivering quality commercial and residential design work.  Each professional team member selected or partnered with, contributes individual strengths and technical expertise to the Client's end result and overall creative process.  With experience in creating detailed specifications, as well as creation of Finish Standards themselves, L.Hensley Design, LLC. aims to design functional and innovative environments. Construction documents are completed with current Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, latest trending efficiency construction practices and supported by the Designer's constant search for new methods, the latest design trends and emerging standards related to building innovation, environmental sustainability and holistic, human-centered design theory.
